Our friend Tyrone Red Blanket is a wildland firefighter from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation town of Kyle, SD -- home of our headquarters.

He is a member of the Bear Mountain Handcrew in Rapid City, SD. We recently sent he and his crew a case of Apple Orange Peel Sticks to sustain them through the winter cold and hard work they face every day.

As stated on their website, the Bear Mountain Handcrew was established in the fall of 2005 in response to an increased need for fuels reduction within the Black Hills.

"The crew's primary function is that of hazardous fuels reduction on state and private lands within the Black Hills. The crew is available for both in-state and out-of-state dispatch assignments, and has responded to various all risk incidents throughout the U.S. since its inception."

Below are photos of the guys enjoying their sticks and packing them up for a long work day ahead.

Thank you for your service, Bear Mountain crew! And thanks, Tyrone, for sending these photos!
