We get weekly motivational posts from our friend Waylon Pahona, a trainer and founder of the Facebook group Healthy Active Natives. Here is this week's!

"On May 13, 2016 the Ute Mountain and Southern Ute Joined together and walked 19 miles from Colorado to the Four Corners Monument to join with neighboring tribes from New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. They were all walking together for healthier Native Nations and to bring awareness to our health and how important it is to take care of our bodies.

The journey took about 11.5 hours in the hot sun and people from all walks of life joined this event from babies in strollers to grandparents. It was amazing to be part of this journey and to see the 4 states come together for health and wellness."
