Native American Natural Foods has been named a "B Corp Best for the World" honoree by the B Corporation.

The list honors businesses that earned an overall score in the top 10 percent of all Certified B Corporations on the B Lab's B Impact Assessment, a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of a company's impact on its workers, community, and the environment. The Best for the World Honorees are recognized for creating the most positive social and environmental impact.

"We are so honored to be named to this prestigious list," said Karlene Hunter, CEO of Native American Natural Foods. "As a triple bottom line business, it is sometimes a struggle to keep our mission and goals in the forefront. So an honor like this one is very gratifying."

Native American Natural Foods has been a Certified B Corporation since 2015. The honor was announced at the Sept. 8 Best for the World Gathering at the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business. The full list of honorees was announced in B Magazine's Sept. 27 issue.

Mark Tilsen and Karlene Hunter, founders of Native American Natural Foods, which is based on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, create buffalo-based food products that are delicious and that promote a Native American way of wellness that feeds mind, body, and spirit.
