Our Tanka team welcomed a group of business owners from Rapid City, SD, Wednesday as part of their tour of businesses on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. \

After meeting with Tanka CEO Karlene Hunter, President Mark Tilsen, Sr., and Nick Tilsen, executive director of the Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation, the group toured our facility and then enjoyed a lunch of Tanka Dogs and salad in the Thunder Valley-eTanka Cafe.

The group, whose purpose is to build relationships between native and non-native business people, ended their trip with a stop at the Pine Ridge Area Chamber of Commerce.

Our visitors were:
Debbie Stangle of Project Solutions, Inc.
Jim Quinn, a business consultant
Sallly Anderson of Anderson Marketing
Tom Katus of TK Associates International and the Rural Ethnic Institute
Bob Steele, a restaurant franchise owner
Jim Petersen of the South Dakota Peace Coalition
Brian Brandt, president of the Center of Business and Economics at National American University
Dr. Robert Preston, M.D.
Bill Walsh of Dakota Travel, Inc.

I get them here in NYCity from the Museum or a few sports stores that carry them. I made the mistake of sharing a few with my best friend and now I gotta hide my stash from her and my son! He and my best friend have become converts to the Tanka....
